A Mother's Day Call to Action

                                      Beyond Gestures to Genuine Support

Mother’s Day brings a flood of social media posts filled with appreciation for mothers—a beautiful sentiment, no doubt. However, beyond the flowers and kind words lies a deeper understanding of the #woman in the home, #the mother who bears numerous unseen burdens with invisible grace.🤶

Imagine her #as a parent, enduring the challenges and negatives that come with nurturing children. Picture her as a family member, often sacrificing her own needs to ensure financial stability during tough times. Envision her role as a partner, acting as a calming force amidst storms of bad moods and conflicts, akin to Bhishma Pitamah enduring arrows without complaint.🏹

Despite shouldering these responsibilities, many of us falter in providing the same level of support and understanding that we extend to colleagues in professional settings. We compartmentalize, labeling her struggles as "another case," thereby perpetuating gender inequality even within our homes.👭

Through the survey, it is found that #non-working wives of high-powered executives face special challenges in their marriages. They often have to balance traditional roles with the demands of their husband’s job, which can cause tension. Being financially dependent on their husband can make them feel vulnerable, especially if his job is unstable or stressful. They might also have less say in decisions, worrying that their opinions could affect their husband’s career. Social expectations to attend events and maintain a certain image can be overwhelming. Additionally, they need to provide emotional support while managing their own feelings of loneliness or isolation due to their husband’s busy schedule.

As high-powered executives and influential leaders, we recognize the importance of maintaining a #gender-sensitive environment in the workplace. It's equally crucial to extend this commitment to our homes, #supporting the mothers, wives, and sisters in our lives. True gender equality goes beyond workplace policies; it involves redefining roles and expectations within families. Sharing household responsibilities #equitably empowers mothers to make unbiased decisions for their children and fosters an environment where raising girls and boys is free from stereotypes. By promoting this balance at home, we contribute to a more just and #inclusive society. Let's lead by example, advocating for gender equality not only in our professional spheres but also in our personal lives. The #Mother's Day, is to pledge for making meaningful changes that support and uplift the mothers in our lives every day.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, let’s make it more than a day of gestures. Let’s commit to daily actions that support and uplift mothers, recognizing their contributions beyond societal norms. Let’s create homes where contentment isn’t just a façade but a reality, where every member's well-being is prioritized.

The Mother's Day, let’s turn appreciation into action—a call to support moms every day and champion gender equality in every facet of life.👬👭

Is it possible to not carry the quantum of pressure at home?, Is it possible to forget the incidents of the office at home? Can one be energetic at home after long hours of work?

✋✋Share the insights on teaching our children—boys to respect themselves and every woman no matter at what role they are in their lives ,and girls to be aware of their duties and rights. By modeling these behaviors and values, we contribute to raising a generation that values gender equality and mutual respect.✌
